Everything we get asked, in one place.
Get a quoteHow does a Haulwell quote actually work?
We come and look — free, no obligation — because a postcode can't tell us about your stairs, your parking or how full the loft really is. You get the price in writing after the visit, and that's the price on the day.
Do you offer a packing service?
Yes. We can drop boxes off beforehand for you to fill, or send a crew round the day before to wrap and box the whole house, glassware and all. Either way it's an add-on you choose, not something bolted onto every quote.
Is my furniture insured while it's being moved?
We carry goods-in-transit cover for every job. The specifics are confirmed in writing with your quote, so you know exactly what's covered before moving day, not after something's gone wrong.
Do you offer storage between moves?
Yes — we can put a whole house into storage between completion dates and bring it back out again once your new keys come through, so a broken chain doesn't mean a second move.
Is there a deposit, and what if I need to change the date?
No deposit to book — you confirm a date and we hold it, and you settle up once the move is done. Because nothing's been paid up front, there's nothing to forfeit if plans change; we just ask for as much notice as you can give so we can offer the slot to someone else.
Do you dismantle and rebuild furniture?
Yes — beds, wardrobes and flat-pack come apart at one end and go back together at the other as standard. Just flag anything tricky, like a wall-mounted TV or a fitted wardrobe, when you book.
Do you move offices as well as homes?
Yes — desks, screens, files and server racks, usually planned for a weekend or an evening so nobody loses a working day. IT disconnection and reconnection is arranged with your own supplier; we handle the physical move and the reassembly.
What happens if it rains on moving day?
We still move — everything travels wrapped and blanketed regardless of weather, and mattresses and upholstery get an extra waterproof cover on a wet forecast. The only thing that changes is we allow a little more time between the door and the van.
Still not sure?
Ask us on the visit.
The best answers come from looking at the actual job. We'll come and see it — free, no obligation — and put a written quote to you after.
